Dining at Plori was Pure Pleasure . Same Plori, New Glory! Plori has long been one of my favorite Mediterranean gems on Long Island. But after spending some time as a Florida snowbird, I hadn’t visited in quite a while. I’d heard the buzz — new staff, new chef , new partner/manager, refreshed decor — and wasn’t sure what to expect. Change can be unsettling, but the recent reviews intrigued me. So I went back… with hope, curiosity, and a healthy appetite. Our party of five was seated immediately by a kind, reserved host named Fonda (no, not Jane or Henry ). I shared my past fondness for Plori with him, and he assured us we were in for something special. And we were. The decor now feels brighter and more elegant, lighter color tones, sculpted drop ceilings — a subtle but classy update. The service? Gracious and warm. The food? Next-level. Fonda and I even bonded over restaurant stories, the kind of personal connection that makes you feel you’re part of something special. He truly wanted us to see how Plori has evolved — and wow, has it. We started with warm, crusty rustic bread paired with a velvety hummus spread — the perfect Mediterranean welcome. Then came the Plori Chips: thin-sliced zucchini and eggplant , lightly fried and seasoned — golden, crisp, and addictive. Next up, grilled octopus — tender with a charred kiss of smoke , served over a vibrant bed of roasted peppers , onions , and fava bean purée, topped with a drizzle of sweet balsamic. Every bite was a flavor bomb . The Horiatiki Salad was a garden of freshness — juicy tomatoes , crunchy cucumbers , briny olives , green peppers , and thick slabs of creamy feta , all sprinkled with Mediterranean herbs and bathed in luscious EVOO. Simple, bright, perfect. Then came the entrées and they were spectacular. Plori’s special signature lobster dish was the star ⭐ of the night. Bathed in a creamy tomato -feta sauce and flecked with parsley , it was rich, tangy, and indulgent — so good, three of us ordered it since no one was willing to share! The Alaskan halibut was a stunner: thick, pan-seared to perfection, resting on a silky vegetable risotto with a savory lobster jus. The seafood flavors danced on the palate like a symphony — a true standout. Also worth mentioning: the Lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass) — simply grilled, flaky and sweet, the essence of the Aegean Sea on a plate . But the real showstopper? Dessert.! And not just any dessert… Plori now boasts desserts by legendary French pastry chef François Payard (yes, that Payard — formerly of Le Bernardin and Daniel!). His creations are absolute masterpieces. The chocolate mousse was pure bliss — dense, rich, and dangerously addictive. The fig cake was divine: chewy, fragrant figs layered with fresh fig jam and dusted with powdered sugar. And the pièce de résistance? A whimsical take on strawberry shortcake , layered with a crisp, straw-textured pastry nest . Creamy, crunchy, and insanely good. Off-the-hook delicious . Service throughout was smooth and attentive — Mathew, our server, was a total pro. Friendly, efficient, and spot-on with recommendations. So, if you’ve made it this far, let me say this: Go back to Plori. Better yet, run. It’s not just as good as you remember — it’s better. Don’t forget to scroll through the pics — they’ll make you hungry all over again. Enjoy!

The food was absolutely scrumptious! Ambiance is very elegant and homey. Service was superb and top notch. This will absolutely be a must go place for me for any future dinners. I highly recommend it. We came in without reservation and were still greeted and seated relatively quickly.

Plori is an excellent upscale Greek restaurant with a very local hometown feel. My coworker and I came in for dinner as I see the restaurant every time we pass by for work. We parked in the large parking lot and walked in and were seated right away. We were given menus for drinks and browsed them. The waiter came by and asked for our drink order, and we ordered two Woodford Old Fashioneds. The waiter was a bit new as the owner came over to ask what we ordered and we confirmed it with him. It was great that he came by to confirm the order so we would get the correct drinks. He talked to us for a bit and we felt very welcome. Once the drinks came we ordered and I had the lamb chops while my coworker had the pan-fried chicken. As we waited for our food, I saw the owner walking over to table after table, talking to the customers, and there were a lot of regulars. Once our food arrived, I found that my lamb chops were delicious in terms of flavor, but not at the temperature I had ordered. When the owner came over to check on us, I told him about the temperature of my lamb chops, and he immediately said that he would fire up some new ones and ensure they were at the correct temperature. I was not expecting this and wanted to let him know, as others might not be pleased. The new chops came out and they were the perfect temperature. They were even better the 2nd time around. I would definitely come back to Plori as it has great food and even better staff.

Plori is our favorite restaurant when it comes to dinning experience , Me and my wife were there few days ago and everyone was so welcoming as we walked in at the door , hostess got us seats at the bar since we love being sat at the bar , we ordered old fashioned bourbon and Malibu Baybreeze , bartender Adis made them so perfect and we enjoyed the conversation with him as he expined the dinner menu as well , we ordered calamari and pikilia as appetizers and there were delicious . For dinner we had a New York Strip and Salmon , they were both cooked to perfection and fantastic taste , manager Fonda stopped by to Ask about the dining experience as well . We are regulars at Plori and its always an amazing experience while we dine there . We can’t wait to be back .

I'll start by saying it was our first time there, and we were celebrating my niece's graduation. From the moment we walked in, the owner, Fonda, greeted us with such love, respect, and grace. His hospitality was truly heartfelt. Our waiter was absolutely amazing he knew the menu well and gave excellent recommendations with professionalism and kindness. The overall vibe from everyone was incredibly positive and welcoming. Now, the best part the food. Hands down, this was some of the freshest seafood I've had in a really long time. Every entrée was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Every single plate impressed us. The drinks were also fantastic. We were a party of six and were accommodated so kindly. Honestly, we felt like we were at home, just from the warmth and energy of the staff. It was such a memorable experience, and we were truly blown away by the food. This is a genuine review, and I left so happy that I couldn't wait to share it.

I was near by Plori getting car wash done, found Plori on Google and decided to give it a try. Walked in and see the stunning interior, give me a minimalist and an island vibes. Restrooms are clean and wide enough to use. I ordered their lunch two courses menu with calamari and Garides orzo a la ouzo, the portions are pretty decent and there are few big shrimps in it! I came around 1~2 pm ish, is quiet, peaceful (which I don’t really go to places during crowded times). Staffs are friendly and helpful, overall was a great experience, would recommend this place⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went to Dinner and had an amazing experience. Absolutely beautiful place inside. Our server Matt was awesome, front of the house also. Food was really well executed. The zucchini crisps were amazing, beet salad, and dips were great. We did lobster fettuccine special and the whole fish. The Pavlova dessert is really well done. They use organic ingredients and owner told us all the decor is imported from Greece. The portions are very large and shareable. Will absolutely be back. Beautiful food and they gave us complimentary greek cordial called Samos.

I passed by this place often but have never gone in. I stopped in with my two daughters and all I can say is wow. The food was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious. The octopus was tender. The lamb chops were perfect and the Spanakopita is to die for. Everything from the drinks to the dessert including the service was 5 Star. Adis the manager was hands on as was our waitress and he even brought us a dessert and an after dinner drink on the house. Being Greek, I am a little critical Of any Greek restaurant, but this far exceeded our expectations. I will definitely be back very soon!
